Bella Box August.. Go Green!

17 Aug

So it’s beauty sample box time again! Bella Box arrived in my mail thismorning and let me say, they have delivered the goods! The theme of this month’s box is “Go Green” highlighting a shift towards the natural approach for skincare and beauty. I was recently just talking about how I’m enjoying natural products more and more so there are some great ones I’m looking forward to try!

So what’s in the box…?

Lush Ro’s Argon Body Conditioner

I’ve been impatient and had seen a few others post about their boxes and was hoping I’d still get this product! It smells fabulous and I am a pretty big fan of Lush products!

Make sure you use this the right way though! Michaela from Lather Rinse Repeat did a post about it here – you use while IN the shower – just step out of the stream of water & massage into skin – then rinse off!

RRP $29.95 for 225g

Luk Beautifood Lip Nourish

I love the packaging of this lipgloss! It’s a brand new product and is 100% natural & edible. It has a vanilla smell about it and has a brown shimmery tinge when applied.

RRP $24.95

Wotnot Facial Wipes

Made entirely of natural fibres and enriched with aloe vera, almond and rosehip oil these feel pretty amazing on the skin, they also seem thicker than your average facial wipe as well.

RRP $7.95

USPA Wheatgrass Solar Energy Leave-In Serum

A leave in serum which preserves & protects colour treated hair. I’m a little bit confused as to what the “solar energy” in the name refers to but this also smells amazing, with green tea, Jojoba Oil, Grapefruit, Tangerine and other goodies inside!

RRP $32 for 150 ml

Be in Awe Clearing Serum

This product is to help prevent breakouts due to oily skin conditions. I will probably pass this on to someone else as my skin is ridiculously dry but I’ll give it a go, I’ve heard good things about their products

RRP $79 for 50ml

Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion

Probably not the most exciting product in the box, they recently did a huge household send out of these samples so I have used one of them previously. It’s a good everyday body moisturiser.

RRP $12.99 for 350ml

Sachets:

Be in Awe Calming Serum This is to relax this skin after trauma such as peels, microdermabrasion, sun exposure or for red or itchy skin. It contains a number of natural anti-inflammatories. There were two sachets of this included in this months box and this product is probably more suited to my skin than the clearing serum so I’m looking forward to testing it out! RRP $79 for 50ml

Phytocare Daily C For some internal wellbeing! Mix a sachet with juice or water RRP 17.80 (30 sachets)

EmerginC Phytocell Detox Mask I’ve tried this before so I’m pretty happy to see it again as it is an amazing face mask. Leaves skin clear and feeling beyond amazing. RRP $70 for 50ml

Overall, for me this was a pretty good box! I know some people will likely be disappointed due to the lack of makeup in this variation of the box – a few earlier had an eyeliner as well but I’d received that last month so it works out perfectly!

What did you think of this months Bella Box? And did you get the same as me?

Bella Box July… Essential Beauty Buys

21 Jul

First thing Friday I received my July Bella Box in the mail, I felt like i’d been waiting for ever because it was one of the last shipped!! It was however, most definitely worth the wait- with 6 full sized products!

So what was in the box..

Neutrogena Deep Clean Foaming Cleanser & Sample Gentle Scrub

This foaming cleanser is incredibly refreshing, with a tingly cool boost! It’s a pretty good morning wake-me-up! The scrub is also great especially if you have dry or sensitive skin as it is very gentle.

Cleanser RRP $13.99

Mode Glitter Nail Enamel

Perfect for a little bit of sparkle on the nails, I remember using mode products years ago when I think they were sold in Kmart? The colour is great but as usual a pain to get off! I had a bit of a play with it over my L’oreal polish

The RRP for this baby is just $2.45 so you can afford to snatch up a few!

Bourjois Smoky Eye Pencil in Dark Purple

Certainly not a colour I would normally pick but it’s been great to try out as I haven’t used many Bourjois products in the past. It is a very dark purple so I think it would look great if you want a vibrant make-up look. I’m not sure how “Smoky” the effect of this could be however, as when I swatched it and used the applicator it didn’t budge too much.

RRP $20

Carmex Moisturing Lip Balm

Perfect timing as the lipbalm I normally keep in my bag had just run out! Carmex is a classic brand and for anyone who hasn’t tried it, I think you’ll love it!

RRP $5.99

Almay Get Up & Grow Mascara

Another brand I haven’t tried much before, this is a black/brown mascara that promises to strengthen and lengthen lashes! I’ll have to report back once i’ve given it a bit of a test.

RRP $19.95

You, Me & Everybody Shady Lady Daily Face Milk

This is something I’m going to try really hard to fit into my daily routine, I love primer but it doesn’t normally contain and SPF rating so this face milk will be great to apply in summer before makeup! It’s also a brand I haven’t heard of before and I love it’s packaging so lets see how we go!

RRP $9.99

The body Shop Chocomania Body Butter & Givenchy Pi Neo Samples

This Body Butter reminds me that I haven’t eaten chocolate in almost two weeks.. It smells define and is nourishing and pretty much everything you expect for a Body Shop Body Butter, they have just always seemed to do them so well! They also included a little sample for the man in your live with this Givenchy scent.

SO MUCH in this months box with the full size product value over $70 and a tonne of fun new things to try. Bella Box has definitely raised the bar!! Can’t wait for next months!

Bella Box…A Little bit of Love

21 Feb

New box time! I actually got this middle of last week but have been so flat out I haven’t had time to take the pictures!

This weeks box was Valentines themed with the yummy little chocolates from the chocolate box.. yum.

So what in the box?

MeMeMe Seventh Heaven Facebase

I was excited to try this, as it’s a brand I’ve heard alot about. I’ve used this a few times now, It smells lovely and citrusey and is super moisturising. There area few primer/bases that i’ve been trying out lately so I’ll need to compare them all and give you my verdict!

RRP 34.95 for 30ml

Sasy n Savy Rose Lavender Hand Cream

Bad spelling sound familiar? This product was in the Feb Lust Have It box, I think some people got the Citrus hand cream as listed on the product card, but my box came later so I think they’d run out and just included this one which is a shame as its exactly the same as the LHI one I received.

RRP 15.00 15ml

Star & Rose Confetti Soap Roses

This is quite cute, but it looked so sad when I opened my box as it didn’t travel well and I had to squish it back together!

RRP 25.95 for box of 12

Bloom collecta colour eye shadow in Sahara Desert

This is a lovely colour, not too pigmented by a nice bronze. Again a lot of others got the eye colour duo’s but I think as mine came later they had run out so I got this one. It’s still nice though, and seems to last quite well. Full sized products are always fun though!

RRP 9.95

Sparoma Body Shimmer

Body shimmer – brings me back to Primary School! This one is Jasmine scented and does feel lovely and moisturising however I’m a bit put off by the fact that the shimmer includes reasonably sized pieces of glitter.. maybe a little too year 7 for my liking?

RRP 44.95 for 150mls

So that was the box! Did your receive the same as me?

I was a bit disappointed that some of the products/descriptions didn’t match up but I guess maybe they ran out of time towards the end of the month. I do love Bella Box but this isn’t my favourite box from them, but you can’t make everyone happy all of the time!

which box??

21 Nov

While it was so exciting when the first beauty sample box company set up in Australia, quite a few have since followed. I have fallen victim to this as I can’t control myself and currently have 4 subscriptions (still thinking about the 5th…) Yes its a little overboard but I do plan on culling at some point soon. But they are just so fun!

I thought to assist anyone who can’t decide which box to subscribe to i’d include some info about them all in the one place.
